Panic

Panic sets in the moment I am left with too much time to think, in other words, the moment I am completely conscious of my decision to study this year in The Netherlands. It has taken about 5 days for this to sink in. 5 days AFTER arriving at Schiphol airport, exhausted from the first adventure, a re-route through Paris airport, and an extra 11 hours tacked on to the travel time. You'd think I would have worked this through BEFORE the trip, but that is how panic works- it always takes me by surprise, and sometimes with a time-delay!

But I am ready for this... I am prepared. I purchase big white empty sheets of drawing paper, set up my pens, and tack a quote to my wall. I have decided to ignore the rules of the studentenwoning where I have taken up residence for the next year... I will paste these walls with creations of heart, soul, and blood... nothing will stop me from my goal. Not fear, nor walls, nor myself:
